Principle 5: Movement Is a Beautiful Expression; Beauty Is a Moving Experience

Aspiring to develop the aesthetic sense, and specifically the aesthetic of movement.

Examples:
In AllinPeace we changed the question from how far can one throw the javelin or discus to how beautiful one can throw it? It might seem a minute one but it made a huge difference. It transformed the exercise from a war oriented experience to a peace oriented one, It shifted the emphasis from an outer competition into an inner striving for improvement and beauty.
Musical example: Repeat from Principle 4.
It is not  how many songs you sing but the quality of the ones you do sing. One song, sung well and in a variety of different ways, is good enough--- as we have seen in the Festivals.

Changing the question from how far can one throw the javelin or discus to how beautiful one can throw it.

Everyone has a gift. It is our task to find and develop that talent. As leaders we are models. The children imitate our qualities. Our question to ourselves reads: Are we worthy of being imitated? By doing something beautifully we awaken that quality in the other. It is not what we say but what we do. We need to walk our talk!
